We Remember
NADELA, Evangeline Jayme “Eva”
April 23, 1942 — December 5, 2025
Born on April 23, 1942, Eva Nadela went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on December 5, 2025, in Kelowna, BC, at the age of 83.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Robert (Yukiko) and Laura (Mike); her grandchildren, Jenna, Kira, and Maya; and her siblings, Paul (Aina), Marie (Emmett), and Angel (John). She is also lovingly remembered by her nephews, Paul, Vincent, Michael, Keino, and Christopher; and by many close friends. She was predeceased by her beloved partner, Angelo; her parents, Mary and Miguel; and her brother, Patrick.
Eva began her career as an educator in the Philippines before immigrating to Canada at a young age, making Prince Rupert her home in 1972. She and her partner, Angelo Pasut, owned and managed Atom Motors in Prince Rupert for many years before it was later sold to Sherman Motors. After decades of hard work and community involvement, they moved to Kelowna to enjoy their retirement and travels together.
Eva was one of the founding members of the Filipino Canadian Association of Prince Rupert, established in 1973. She served as President and played an instrumental role in drafting and implementing the association’s constitution, which continues to guide the organization to this day.
She loved to travel and had visited nearly every corner of the world-Antarctica being the only place she had yet to see. Though Canada became her home, she never stopped checking in on her family overseas. Distance never diminished her care for those she loved.
Eva enjoyed cooking and often had dishes prepared in advance for anyone who might stop by. When Angelo was still with her, she delighted in making his favourite Italian pastas, bringing him the flavours of home. She loved jewellery, fashion, good music, and the energy of live performances; she had only recently returned from a Michael Jackson tribute concert. She admired Andrea Bocelli, enjoyed watching tennis, and tended to her garden with pride.
Eva will be remembered for her warmth, her wisdom, her generosity, and the legacy she leaves in the many communities she touched. May her spirit continue to shine in every life she helped shape and every heart she filled with love.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Cancer – Kelowna – Sindi Ahluwalia Hawkins Centre for the Southern Interior.

My Name is Sherrell Davidson
I met Eva through a mutual friend Alice Hargreaves . Alice was a neighbour of Eva’s when Eva and her husband lived in the same neighbourhood. I met Eva through Alice and there were 6 ladies in our group that met over the years for dinner and visit, Eva and I had just planned a visit for lunch in the next week or so when the other friend contacted me of Eva’s death.
Eva is in heaven enjoying the splendors of heaven. Thanks for our friendship my friend. We will miss you and meet again in heaven.
Lovingly Sherrell Davidson

We were fortunate to have Eva as a neighbour for twenty years. She was a warm and caring person and a lot of fun to be with. She lived every day of her life fully, travelling the world, seeing friends, playing mahjong, etc. we know her family will miss her terribly and we send our deepest sympathy to you all. She will be deeply missed.
