We Remember
RAJTSCHAN Rosalie Susan
August 14, 1960 — November 29, 2025
Rosalie was the picture of strength and positivity. At the age of 65, Rosalie died in the presence of her loving husband, Herwig, on November 29, 2025. She has gone to join her late parents, her father Nikolaus Wollny and her mother, Germaine, who died when Rosalie was very young. Along with Herwig, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage, Rosalie is survived by her children Mandy, Jennifer, and Michelle; her grandchildren Wesley, Rosa, Seville, and Theo; as well as her brother Gary Wollny and sister-in-law Kathy Wollny.
Born in Vancouver, BC, Rosalie built a long career as a care aide and was devoted to those she served, and saw her vocation as caring not for just individuals but as caring for our community. She was incredibly compassionate, patient, and kind. She met every challenge with, resilience, and quiet optimism, and she never complained, even on her hardest days.
Rosalie was also adventurous and never turned down a chance to try something new, whether it was a trip, an activity, or a new food. She enjoyed visiting local wineries, spending time with her family, and watching her grandchildren grow. She and Herwig spent their winters in Mexico enjoying the sun, and returned home each year to be close to family and life in the Okanagan.
She will be deeply missed, but heaven is a sweeter place now.
Family and friends will honour Rosalie in their own way. No formal service will be held.

Rosalie was a beautiful strong and loving sister in law. In fact I considered her my sister. We shared many laughs over the years and we loved seeing each other. She will be greatly missed but I know heaven has gained a beautiful angel. Rosalie will never be forgotten . Love, Kathy
