We Remember

SIRIANNI, Merle

December 11, 1950 — March 18, 2026

Merle Sirianni was born on December 11, 1950, in Princeton, BC, and after a courageous battle with cancer passed away on March 18, 2026, at Kelowna General Hospital, at the age of 75.

Merle lived life quietly and on her own terms. She was strong, brilliant, confident, and caring. She knew who she was, knew what mattered to her, and needed little else beyond that. Her circle of friends was small by choice, and all the more treasured for it. Those who were welcomed knew how rare and real that belonging was.

At the heart of everything was her family. Merle’s home was the place everyone gathered, drawn by warmth, acceptance, good food, and the comfort of knowing they were welcome. She had a gift in the kitchen, the kind that turns a meal into a memory.

Merle is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Frank; her children, Justin (Liz) and Sandra (Ron); and sister, Janice (Geoff); and all whose lives were made fuller by knowing her. Merle leaves behind a home that will feel her absence in every room, and a family who will carry forward with everything she quietly, steadily gave. She was loved deeply and will be greatly missed.

There will be no formal funeral service by request.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that if anyone wishes to make a donation in Merle’s memory to the BC Cancer Foundation – Kelowna.
