We Remember

SISSON, Brian Ross
May 31, 1954 — April 22, 2021
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of and say goodbye to our father, grandfather, husband, brother and uncle. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by so many. He was taken from us quickly and did not suffer. He was surrounded by love and family. Sadly he was diagnosed with aggressive small cell lung cancer that took him quickly.
Brian had a deep love for cars and family, both of which he led his life by. He was a friend to many car guys on his journey. He always had a story to tell or questions to ask. Brian was a member of Kelowna Kustoms Car Club for several years and the Okanagan car community at large. He and Laura loved camping and traveling to car shows with their family and then with their grandchildren. He lived an amazing, adventurous, fast, and creative life – always to the fullest, always building and working on something. He loved to squeal his tires and show off with a good burn out any chance he got, he was, in his words “A car guy living the life”.
Brian is survived by Laura, his wife of 49 years; daughter Amanda; son Ian; granddaughter Sabrina and grandson Ethan. He is also survived by one sister Shelagh Harwood of Calgary; two brothers Frank (Lorraine) of Calgary and Keith of Duncan; as well as by sister-in-law Gayle (Gordon) and brothers-in-law Wayne (Penny) and Jim; and many nieces and nephews.
Brian was predeceased by his son Curtis; parents Mary and Gabe Sisson; brother-in-law Fred Harwood; and parents-in-law Jim and Margaret Nicolson.
