I knew Hank for the short term, as I am also a resident at Hawthorn Park “A” Building, I respected his honesty and humour and the love he expressed for you his wife and all of his family members. I am sure the world and Kelowna are at a loss to experience another like him, and I mean this in a wonderful way. Who else would have the self confidence to offer a cold beer in the summer heat in the Park across the street and share his biography on a park bench there! He simply wanted to tell me about his dear wife and family. And I truly did enjoy hearing his history. On the few occasions I met him here at Hawthorn, I found him to be one of the few uniquely upright and honest people left in this world…honest about himself and his feelings and what a work history! He was not a clone; he had character, and a biography that I have rarely heard here in Kelowna! And I’ve listened to many.
To you his wife and family, I am certain you will miss him and I send my heartfelt condolences at this time of your grief.
