STOBER, Sandra Nadyne Karen

May 31, 1938 — July 13, 2025

Sandra Nadyne Karen Stober, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, at the age of 87 in Kelowna, BC.

Born on May 31, 1938, in Camrose, Alberta to Albert and Arpah Schell, Sandra, mother to 4 children, 13 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren was the heart of her family. She devoted her life to creating a warm, welcoming home for her family to gather and enjoy making memories together.

Sandra was a loyal partner to her husband of 63 years, Albert Stober, and a lifelong philanthropist. Her most treasured role was in facilitating the graceful work of the family foundation. She founded the charitable aspect of the Tree of Hope which has become a cherished community tradition.

Sandra was a strong woman of faith and prayer, dedicating countless hours to church and charitable activities. She was known for her gracious demeanour, tender heart, and listening ear.

Sandra is survived by her children, Linda Johnson, Mark Stober, Ken Stober, and Carolyn Stober; her grandchildren David Johnson, Shane Johnson, Andrew Stober, Brittani Stober, Cassidy Stober, Michael Stober, Landon Stober, Chrisen Stober, Cole Stober, Dallas Stober, Harrison Stober, Liberty Stober, and Capri Holm; and great-grandchildren Olivia Stober, Bowen Warkentin, and Myla Warkentin.

The family would like to recognize the extraordinary kindness and patience of her friend and nursing support Sarah Redka, as well as the compassionate and professional care of the team at Orchard Manor. Thank you for joining with us to finish this journey with Sandra so well.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Child & Youth Advocacy Centre of Kelowna.

A private family gathering will be held to honour the life of Sandra Stober, she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Albert.
