We Remember
THOMAS, Paul Allen
— December 31, 2025
To my friends, team members, and neighbours in Gallagher’s Canyon (Kelowna) with whom I spent countless hours and had lots of fun, I would like to say
“Thank you for the memories!”
And, as I am nearing the end of my life, I have been reliving those joyful memories.
My beloved wife, Francis, who passed away two years ago, is calling me to join her and continue our wonderful relationship.
At this time, I would like to thank two lovely caregivers, Bernie and Heidi, for the attention and companionship provided to me during the past two years.
And further, I would like to thank the staff members of Hawthorn Park Retirement Community (Kelowna) for making my life comfortable.
If you wish to send a condolence, post photos, or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Condolences”.

I always enjoyed my visits with Paul and Francis. Those two just loved being together. Thank you to the person responsible for letting us all know he is resting in peace. I’ve thought about him often since Francis passed away.
I will always cherish the memories of skiing in Collingwood with Uncle Paul. Rest in peace with Aunt Fran.
Paul good friend it’s hard to say goodbye. Twenty-five plus years of friendship, travel and adventure with both you and Fran leaves a big void. Wanda and I are of two minds. Sad to lose a great friend but heartened to know you will be with Fran.
Our Bike and Barge adventure in France, golfing, skiing, riding the KVR (the whole thing) our winters in Arizona and the many, many (maybe to many) trips to Vegas. Great memories and great fun.
A lot evolved over the years because of a loosely formed cycle group “The Old Farts” of which you were one of the founders.
Thank you…you and Fran have made the past 30 years very special for both Wanda and I.
RIP
Bill and Wanda Grevatt
Some people come and go in your life but they make an unforgettable impact. For many years Paul (who was an avid runnner) ran with me and a few friends in St Catharines. He always made our runs fun and full of lively and informed conversation. Very happy days. We were sorry when you moved so far away but we thank you. Thank you Paul. Rest in peace old friend.
Rest in peace Dr. Paul Thomas, my first cousin, who was my dentist most of the years he worked in St. Catharines. Paul and Fran also enjoyed many years at their cottage in Collingwood where they enjoyed skiing the winter months. They travelled expensively with many friends.
We were very sorry to learn that our friend has left us. We have fond memories of cycling with Paul and Fran in the Okanagan, and skiing holidays at Big White, Silver Star and Sun Peaks.
We were privileged to know Paul and Fran during our time in Gallaghers. We enjoyed a number of trips together, beginning with Super Bowl weekend in Vegas in 2000 and a few other years. There was a Panama Canal cruise together, even a trip to San Diego to see his beloved Buffalo Bills in action. Such great memories of happy times with such a delightful couple.
Thank you, Paul, for the pleasure of your company. Rest in peace, kind soul.
