We Remember

TRUONG, Quoc Hung

June 12, 1939 — July 11, 2025

In Loving Memory

With profound sadness, our family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Quoc Hung Truong, who departed peacefully on July 11, 2025, at the age of 86, surrounded by his loved ones. After a courageous year-long battle with cancer, he left us with grace and strength.

Born on June 12, 1939, in Vietnam, Quoc Hung immigrated to Canada in 1980, where he built a life rooted in love, resilience, and devotion. With his cherished wife by his side, he worked tirelessly to provide for his family, always placing their needs above his own. His quiet strength and unwavering dedication shaped the lives of his children and grandchildren.

A passionate gardener, his green thumb yielded bountiful harvests that he joyfully shared with family and friends. He lived simply, yet his life was rich with meaning, generosity, and love.

Quoc Hung was predeceased by his parents and older sibling. He is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Ngan Nguyet La; his children Tri (Mika), Tracie (Kevin), and Rick (Caroline); and his grandchildren Alyssa, Jordan, Noah, Ethan, Chloe, Nathaniel, and Brendan—each of whom carries forward his legacy of kindness and strength.

Our family extends heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and care aides at IHSU1 for their exceptional compassion and care during his final days. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

A private viewing will be held at Springfield Funeral Home on Monday, July 21, 2025, followed by a private burial service at Kelowna Memorial Cemetery.
