We Remember

WALTERS, Robert “Bob” Wayne

December 6, 1939 — December 23, 2025

On December 23, 2025, Robert Wayne Walters passed away peacefully at the age of 86.

Left to hold him dear to their hearts are those he loved most, including his wife and partner of 35 years, Darlene; children Marilyn, Mark, and Michelle; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Bob was born on December 6, 1939, in Regina, Saskatchewan, and throughout his life he was known for his leadership, vision, and love of bringing people together. He owned and operated Hyseco Hydraulics, building a business that became a lasting family legacy and continues on today through its second and third generations with his son Mark and Mark’s children. Bob took great pride in his work and in seeing the company thrive across generations.

Bob met Darlene at a mutual friend’s birthday party, where a fast friendship grew into a lifelong partnership. Together, they shared a love of golf, spending many happy days on the courses of Arizona and Kelowna. Bob was a longtime member of the Okanagan Golf Club in Kelowna and proudly achieved the rare feat of not one, but two holes-in-one. He will be remembered as a leader who loved fun, organization, and camaraderie, especially through “The Bandits,” the men’s golf group he helped organize in Arizona.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends will each remember Bob in their own ways. No formal service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to a charity of your choice in Bob’s honour.
