We Remember
WELCH, Harold Grant
May 4, 1951 — December 25, 2025
On December 25, 2025, we said goodbye to our dad—a grandfather, brother, and friend whose laughter filled every room and whose presence made people feel safe, seen, and loved.
He is survived by his children, Danielle and Lacey, and his grandchildren, Cloe, Kohen, and Truce, who were the absolute light of his life. Being their dad and grandpa was his greatest pride.
He is also lovingly remembered by Alta, with whom he shared 18 years and a lasting friendship, and her son Shane, who was like a son to him. Their bond remained strong over the years and was built on love, respect, and countless shared memories.
He is deeply missed by his beloved best friend Nikki, who was more like a third daughter to him, and her children, Jayden and Emily, whom he proudly took on and loved as his own grandchildren. Nikki stood by him through everything over the past few years, and together they shared a very special, inseparable bond filled with loyalty, laughter, and unconditional love.
He is also survived by his siblings: Ethel, Leroy, Lance, Leslie, Earl, Stacey, Bruce, Lois, and Ralph.
He was predeceased by his parents, Melvin and Mary, and his siblings Geraldine, Bud, Mac, Lenore, and Glen.
He was a light-hearted, funny, and deeply loving man who never missed a chance to crack a joke. He had a rare gift for listening and was always there when someone needed comfort, advice, or simply someone to talk to. His kindness was quiet, his humour constant, and his love unwavering.
He leaves behind a lifetime of memories, countless laughs, and a space that cannot be filled.
“If laughter is medicine, he healed many.”
Dad, we miss you more than words can say. Thank you for the love, the lessons, and the laughter you gave so freely. We will carry you with us always.
— Love always, Danielle & Lacey
