We Remember

WIELER, John Robert “Bob”
—
Bob, John Robert Wieler, went to his heavenly home on February 2, 2021, at the age of 71.
Born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, he attended school in the village of Rosenhof, along with his sisters and brother, as well as many dear cousins, who became friends for life. Once finished high school, he attended University of Saskatchewan before settling down with his family in Lethbridge, Alberta. He lived most of the past 20 years in Kelowna, British Columbia. He enjoyed many evening coffees with his Tim Hortons buddies while living there.
He is survived by his siblings Kathy (Alvin) Meyer, Marion (Jerry) Pullman, Bernie (Drena) Wieler, and Connie (Dave) Brown; and stepbrothers-and-sisters Abe Wiens, Marion Baumann, Ed Wiens, Allan Wiens, Brian Wiens, Judy Meyers, and Gerald Wiens, and their families. Bob was so loved and will be greatly missed by his two sons Kelly (Heather) and Jamie (Abigail). His grandchildren, Abby (17), Grace (14), Alisha (12) and Bennett (9), will always hold their “Papa Kelowna” dear, and they will miss him terribly.
He was predeceased by his dad Cornelius in 1957; his mom Margaret in 2004; and his stepfather Jake Wiens in 2015.
To celebrate Bob’s life, he would want you to get out there and enjoy a ball game.

I remember Bob as a good friend in elementary school in Rosenhof. May you be comforted by your fond memories of him.
I would like to express my condolences to Bob’s boys and blood siblings. Bob was a kind gentle soul and had a great sense of humour.. We started to watch the World Series in honor of his mother and now we will also add Bob with a cup of Timmy’s in hand. May time heal your hearts and memories of Bob become fonder.
