WILSON, Christine – UPDATED SERVICE INFO
November 2, 1959 — December 5, 2025
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM (PT), at Okanagan Mission Community Hall, 4409 Lakeshore Road, Kelowna, BC
With great sadness, our family announces the sudden passing of Christine Wilson, beloved daughter of Merlyn and Agnes Wilson, and loving sister to Grant.
Christine was a devoted aunt to her two nephews, Kallin & Court, her great nieces Kyra and Olivia and great nephews Maverick and Deegan; and had a very special place in her heart for her god-daughter Sierra and for Jesse. She will be deeply missed by her many family members and friends.
Christine had a beautiful love for music and especially enjoyed playing guitar, bringing joy and entertainment to everyone around her. She loved to travel, explore new places, and spend time camping-always with her faithful dog Mexi by her side. Her adventurous spirit, gentle heart, and love of life touched all who knew her.
A celebration of Christine’s life will be held in the spring in Kelowna, where family and friends will gather to honour and remember her. Details to be announced.
Christine’s memory will live on in the countless stories, songs, and moments she shared with the people she loved. Though she has left us far too soon, she will remain forever in our hearts.
If you wish to send a condolence, post photos, or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Condolences”.

I met Christine last year at a music jam session in Mexico. She was a kind, interesting, and friendly lady. Her music was her passion for sure. I learned of her passing last night when I asked a friend if Christine had arrived in Mexico yet. Her passing was a shock and her friends here in Mexico are deeply saddened by this news. Sincere condolences to her family. She will always be remembered and sadly missed.
Heartfelt condolences to Christine’s parents and extended family at this very difficult time. She was a beautiful, lively person and we are all going to miss her terribly.
My husband (Grant) and I met Christine in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Mexico around 6 years ago or so. We sailed with her on a friend’s sailboat “PocoLocoDos”, and since then we spent many happy hours together in La Cruz dancing, singing, playing music, walking Mexi on the beach, and generally enjoying life. She liked to call the two of us “Team Christine” as we had much in common beyond just our names.
She was considerate of others and so generous with her time and in sharing her musical talent and passion. She frequently visited Grant’s elderly father Barry and his wife Ana in La Cruz. Christine understood the importance of music to Barry, and she would bring her guitar and join him for a “pour at 4” throughout the winter season. They would enjoy a drink, and sing and play songs that he loved.
We last saw Christine when she and Mexi visited us in Whitehorse, Yukon in early June, to attend the Kluane bluegrass festival. She played at the Saturday afternoon open mike, including one of my requests “Cielito Lindo”, which she always performed beautifully.
Christine spoke to us frequently about her parents and it was apparent that she highly valued their happiness and health. She was so thrilled that they continued to socialize and dance into their 90’s. My heart goes out to them right now. It is beyond sad at any age to lose a child.
