We Remember
YOUNG, James Robert Sheridan
May 20, 1978 — January 29, 2026
Taken from us in the prime of his life, James Robert Sheridan Young, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 47.
James leaves his beautiful son Oakley; his twin brother Andrew and sister-in-law Shannon; sister Carrie; nephew Daniel; nieces Caitlyn and Sophie; his “mommy” Carol; and Auntie Sherry.
Jamie was kind, and generous to family and friends alike. He supported many organizations including homelessness, and in particular, charities for children.
His pride and joy was his son Oakley. They loved spending time exploring the outdoors, riding bikes, paddle boarding, and just being together.
“Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, and still loved, still missed and very dear”.
Jamie is forever in our hearts and in our memories.

My Prayers go out to everyone who was close to Jamie. His light still shines. He was an incredible friend to me , as i am sure he was to any of his close people
The impact he made in this world was profound and irreplaceable.
It’s hard to believe that a person can leave on such short notice. Jamie was a person that helped give me faith, understanding, and excitement with doing something big. Jamie saved my life. Jamie was a good man.
I only knew him for a short time but what a great guy. I will miss him. My condolences to his family.
I had the pleasure of living on the same street as Jamie, my son (Mason) became best friends with Oakley, and before I knew it Jamie used to joke about us co-parenting because of how often the boys would swap houses, or bike to the park and not text us, harass us for sleepovers and everything else under the sun. Jamie was fun, and such a great dad, would always ask to keep Mason over for dinners and take the boys out to do fun things while I was at work, with a cheeky “thanks mom” at the end. (You’re welcome Jamie hahah). I am so incredibly sorry to hear that he has passed away, but trust that he is always around because there is no way he would let Oakley do life without him. Sending all the love I have to your family.
