We Remember

WHITLOCK, Jacqueline “Jackie” Diane

November 19, 1965 — September 13, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacqueline “Jackie” Diane Whitlock on September 13, 2020 in Kelowna, BC at the age of 54.

Jackie was born in Brooks, Alberta on November 19, 1965 to Howard Ray Whitlock and Sherry Lillian Turner Whitlock. The family then moved to Estevan, Saskatchewan, subsequently Sherwood Park, Alberta and then settled in Calgary, Alberta.  She attended Belvedere Parkway Elementary, T.B. Riley Jr. High, graduated from Bowness High School and recently obtained her Nursing Assistant certification.

Over the years, Jackie worked at The Grace Hospital, T. B. Riley Jr. High, and various other companies in Calgary.  Recently, she had been working in health care in Kelowna, BC.

Jackie had a kind and generous heart, had many friends, and had a special affinity for the elderly and animals. She loved her children and grandson dearly and spoke of them constantly.

She is survived by her children: son Thomas (Sarah) Pierce, daughter Holly (Aaron) Gardhouse, son Cole Kinash; grandson Theo Pierce; her parents Sherry and Harold Fleming of Calgary and Howard and Shirley Whitlock of Regina, Saskatchewan; sister Michelle (Robert) Todd, nephew Tyler (Leigh) Martin, niece Marissa Martin and nephew Matthew Todd – all of Alexandria, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents John and Dorothy (Dawson) Whitlock; maternal grandparents Tom and Lil  (Bach) Turner; Uncle Wayne Whitlock; Aunt Audrey Whitlock Laliberte; and niece Amber Todd.

A private service followed cremation on September 18, 2020.
