KOOIMAN, Audrey
—
KOOIMAN, Audrey E. (nee Dysart) passed away on Monday, November 17, 2012 at the age of 82. Survived by her loving husband Walter Kooiman; two sons: Gerald and friend Maureen of New Westminster, BC, Shawn (Lisa) of Calgary, AB; five grandchildren; one brother Gordon Dysart (Jackie) of Espanola, ON; one sister Margaret Bayliss (Jim) of Medford, Oregon; in-laws: Mieke Bush-Kooiman and family in England, Kande Kooiman and Robert Bichet and family of France and Pieter and Coen and family of England. Audrey will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Audrey was afflicted by Alzheimer’s in November 2009. She had a strong desire to live her life out at home and to be cared for by her husband. Both of her wishes were granted. Supervision and advice were superbly provided by our family doctor, Dr. P. J. Hart. Thank you, Audrey, for all your love given me over the years. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC, 865 Bernard Avenue, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 6P6.

Sorry to hear about Audrey’s passing, Walter, our deepest condolences. Elli & Eric Moos
Walter, it is with deepest sympathy to hear of the passing of Audrey. I have fond memories of working on your tree farm in Kanata and how Audrey was sympathetic to us workers when we raided the cookie jar at lunchtime.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Walter, Sincere sympathy on your loss. I know the path you have walked and while Audrey is at peace now, you will find the days long, but always cherish the memory of the good times you enjoyed together. I recall all the happy hours we spent together at Sandpointe and remember Audrey always preferred white wine. God bless you and keep you strong.
Walter…
I dont know if I ever met you… but Audrey was my godmother. I have such huge fond memories of her… I am not sure why.. but I decided to see if I could find her this week and was so sad when I came across this. Interestingly, my mom who was one of her best friends also passed away in 2012. I would love to connect if at all possible. Auntie Audrey was a giving loving amazing woman… and I am a better man because of her.
