Henry loved the outdoors and had a passion for riding his motorbike, going on long trips throughout the Yukon. After graduating from SAIT in the 80’s he spent his working life as a Heavy Duty Mechanic, one of his major accomplishments that he was very proud of. He will always be in our hearts.

We have lost our path with you and your family but we had reconnected with Henry the last few years and we are glad to have been a part of his earlier years of life. Again we send our sympathy to all of you and your families.

I am sorry to hear about Henry’s passing away. I lost contact with Henry not long after he left the Yukon. My family all knew Henry through a program he was involved with. We spent many days and time together. Henry also lived with us in the Yukon. He and I traveled and rode bikes together also. My daughter mentioned right away how Henry loved his spaghetti and he would not use just a plate he would use a platter and place it on his stomach put shovel the food in. He also loved his hot sauce. I remember buying him some hot sauce from a specialty store in Calgary that was classified as dangerous. Well I love hot sauce but could not touch this and you only used a drop in your food. Not a plate full but the whole mixing. Henry and I spent many days talking and he was always analyzing things. I not sure if people knew but when he lived with us, our home got full of carbon monoxide. Everyone ended up in the hospital. I have no idea how Henry survived as his room was in the basement right next to the faulty furnace. we were heated by propane. He actually got up and went to work that morning. Everyone was thinking they had the flu but past experience told me something was wrong and we all got to the hospital. I had the propane man go test the house. He burst into the hospital and said it went off the scales. That was when the Dr realized the situation and called for oxygen. We then realized Henry was at work and probably was not feeling well also. We called him and he said he was not feeling good. He got over to hospital. Good old Henry went to work even feeling that rough. I only found out on May 31 about him passing away. It is odd as he was on my mind May 30 and I am riding to Kelowna in July and I thought I would try and look him up. Henry always talked about his daughters. I never realized his family grew so much. He will be missed but I know he will be riding with angels.
Yes Henry my dad did talk a lot about the Yukon and how it made him happy and he did talk about your carbon monoxide poison that you had he will be missed and loved but never forgotten he’s up in heaven hymn peace watching over his family his grandkids and his great-great grandkids every moment in time we’ll be sitting there thinking of him something to bring a chair to rise cuz it reminds us of Henry but all in all he still always with us may not being physical form but in spiritual form he is
