We Remember

ADRIAN, Rick (Richard) Stephen
June 5, 1960 — July 3, 2024
On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, Richard Stephen Adrian passed away peacefully in Kelowna Hospice, with loved ones holding him close.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, to Richard and Jacci (née Trecarten) Adrian, Rick was the eldest of three children. He greatly enjoyed growing up in rural Chelsea, Quebec, where he enjoyed many outdoor adventures with his brother Michael and sister Lee.
A gifted athlete, Rick was passionate about skiing, golfing, cycling, and boating. He was a vibrant man who had a special way of endearing himself to everyone, known for his fun-loving spirit, his brilliant smile and charming manner. Caring and compassionate, Rick contributed positively to his community.
Rick was the proud father of Jamie-Lee Cormier, who was his greatest joy in life. He was a loving man who was deeply devoted to his immediate and extended family, and held a special place in his heart for his two grandsons, Nathan and Noah.
In 1992, Rick relocated to Kelowna where he met his soulmate, his wife Maeve Buckley, whom he adored. They enjoyed 32 amazing years filled with love, laughter, and endless romance.
Rick was a successful stockbroker and financial planner, spending the last 10 years of his career working for Raymond James Ltd. He was dedicated to providing exceptional service to his clients and their families.
During the past few years, Rick showed tremendous courage and stamina in dealing with complex health issues. He always smiled through his difficulties, never complaining and readily rising to any occasion. He lived every day with hope and humour. His legacy of Positive Strength with Dignity will live forever in our hearts.
Rick will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony at the Legacy Gardens in Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.

We are all really missing Rick at our waterfront community. He contributed so much to our development and as many others have mentioned, always had a beautiful smile and kind words for all. It was a pleasure to come across Rick and Maeve when they were out for a bike ride or a stroll around the lake, a beautiful couple, a beautiful man. He will be remembered dearly and missed by all who knew him.
Maeve,
I’m so sorry to learn of Rick’s passing. He was such a great person and I enjoyed working with him for many years at Raymond James. I can still remember helping with his transition to the firm. I hope you’re doing ok. God bless.
