We Remember

AHUJA, Yog Raj

1932 – 2025

With deep love and full hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Yog Raj Ahuja on June 14th, 2025. Yog Raj, lovingly known as PapaJi, was a well-respected father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all he encountered. Surrounded by the love of his family, it was a peaceful and fitting farewell for Father’s Day weekend.

Born in Lahore (pre-partition India) in 1932, PapaJi committed his life to the Hindu spiritual way from an early age. In 1958, he married Savitri Soni, beginning a lifelong journey of love and devotion. In 1970, he immigrated to Canada, followed by the rest of the family in 1974, where they built a new life for their family and raised their three children — Sindhu, Bindu, and Samir — with a focus on patience, education, and endless love.

PapaJi had a sharp and disciplined mind and was especially passionate about business administration. He enjoyed the structure and beauty of numbers and approached life with thoughtfulness and intention. Even in his later years, his remarkable memory and clarity allowed him to share treasured stories from his past, especially those involving his children and grandchildren.

A man of deep spiritual devotion, PapaJi spent the final chapter of his life in reflection, prayer, and service to the divine. His prayers were selfless — always for the health, happiness, and prosperity of those he held dearly. He will be remembered for his genuine smile, booming laugh, and a steadfast presence that brought calm and comfort to those around him.

The family would like to sincerely thank the compassionate team and his friends at the retirement home and hospital in Vernon, BC for their attentive and loving care of PapaJi.

PapaJi’s memory will live on in his beloved children Sindhu Chugh (Paul), Bindu Khosla (Sanjay), Samir Ahuja (Kavita), his grandchildren Neha Chugh (Jeremy), Shaan Chugh (Shannon), Shunker Chugh (Shilpa), Shiv Khosla (Sapna), Shyra Khosla, Sahil Ahuja, Sachin Ahuja, and great-grandchildren (Milan, Ishana, Kethan, Harper, Kian, Aria, Avi, and Shanaya).

PapaJi, your quiet strength and unwavering faith left a legacy that will guide us always. We love you, we miss you, and we wish you eternal peace. You will remain forever in our hearts.
