We Remember
ALBRECHT, Klaus Juergen Manfred
February 27, 1936 — September 13, 2024
On September 13, 2024, Klaus Albrecht, at the age of 88, went peacefully surrounded by his loving family, to be with his Lord.
Klaus was born in Sammenthin, Germany, on February 27, 1936. He immigrated to Canada in 1953, and settled in Kelowna, BC, where he married Elfriede Albrecht and raised their family of Dan, Doreen, and Dave. He worked in the Kelowna Sawmill for 41 years until retiring in 1999. Klaus was a hardworking, playful, and fun-loving man, whose core motivation was his love for God and fellow man, serving both wherever he felt called.
Klaus is survived by his children, Daniel (Nicole), Doreen (Dave), and David (Vivian); grandchildren Tom (Sharalee) Lange, Eileen (Shane) Macdonald, Carinna (Brad) Trueman, Jeremy (Kim) Albrecht,
Matthew (Madison) Albrecht, Bethany Albrecht, Shayli Albrecht, and Mikayla Albrecht; as well as his 15 great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and his brother John Weber.
Klaus has gone to join his ‘Sweety’, his wife Elfriede of 66 years (who predeceased him earlier this year), his parents, and his brother and sister, who are in heaven waiting for him.
Klaus was an amazing father, opa, and great-grandfather, and a beloved friend to so many. He will be greatly missed.
The family wish to thank the Mountain View staff; Home Care nursing; 3 East staff; the Vascular Group; and the Hospice House for their care and support of Klaus thru this difficult time.

To Dan, Doreen and David my thoughts, prayers and heart is with you during this time of sorrow for your Dad/my Onkel Klaus. I am sending long distance hugs and prayers to all of you… with love from Lori
My condolences to the Albrecht family at this time by remembering the good times. I personally played table tennis over the years with Klaus and family and more recently with Dan.. Those are good memories for me and hope they are for the family.
To the Klaus Albrecht fanily!
My heart goes out to you in your time of sorrow..
Accept my deepest and heartfelt condolences.
Sincerely, Gisela Nill
Dear Dave, Dan and Doreen: Carol and I just watched the memorial, and were deeply moved. Thanks for sharing about your dad’s life. He indeed left an impact on many. I remember childhood visits to your homes, and his warm, gentle presence there. As an adult, when I visited Grace, I remember his smile and laughter. May God help you in your grief, and may you also rejoice knowing your dad lived well, and is now with his “sweetie” and saviour Jesus. Brian Klammer
