We Remember

ALLARDICE, Violet Shirley (née Snow)

March 10, 1932 — September 7, 2025

Our beloved Violet Allardice went to be with her Lord, she peacefully passed away on September 7, 2025, at the age of 93.

Violet is survived by her children, Linda Kopp and Richard Schofield; grandchildren, Daved (Shannon), Jaime Lynn (Jord), Michael (Dana), Jeffary (Rhoda), and Troy; great-grandchildren, Braiden, Mason, Jericho, Bowen, and Evyn; and many extended family members and friends including her best friend since the age of 6, Mary Betty Keating, and her dear friend, Rita King.

Sadly she was predeceased by her son David Schofield; as well as by her parents, Alfred & Marcella Snow; brothers, Don Snow and Alfred Snow; sister, Joan Fennessey, and by her husband, Leah Allardice; and ex-husband, Ernest Schofield.

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Violet moved to British Columbia in 1968.

A very kind and caring person, Violet gave back to the community in many ways – including membership in the Royal Purple for many years – serving for 2 years as Honoured Royal Lady.  She also volunteered at Brookhaven Long Term Care for 25 years.

Violet knew the important things in life, she loved music (especially hymns), playing crib (whether she was winning or not), and making tomato sandwiches for Daved and Mason. She made the world a better place just by being in it.

We would like to sincerely thank the staff at Sun Pointe Village, Hollywood Ward, for their compassion and care for our Mom. We are truly grateful for your warmth towards her, and towards us.
