We Remember

ALMOND, Gordon Stuart

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Gordon Stuart Almond.  Gord leaves behind his loving wife Catherine, as well as his precious daughter Sheri and her life partner Bert Ritchie. He was predeceased by their son, Sean.

Catherine and Gord had a true love story that everyone who knew them could see.

The couple built a successful company in Kelowna,”Spider Manufacturing”, which they sold in 2008 to enjoy retirement.  Their time was then spent travelling the world and, in the winter, enjoying their Indian Wells, California home.

Despite the very successful business and patents Gord held, his legacy is really the amazing relationships that he fostered throughout the years.

Gord was kind, generous, selfless, and compassionate.  He will forever be known for making friends quickly and keeping them for years.

Always in our hearts.

At Gord’s request, a private ceremony was held.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sean Almond Fund through the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation.
