We Remember
ARMENEAU, Michelle
September 25, 1964 — July 18, 2026
There are people who move through the world quietly leaving it a little more beautiful than they found it, and Michelle was one of them. Sadly, Michelle passed away on July 18, 2026; she went unexpectedly in her sleep while at home.
Born and raised in Kelowna, BC, Michelle carried the valley in her bones. She was, by any measure, an exceptional artist, the kind whose work made people stop and look twice, then look again just to see how she’d done it, which was often a simple pencil-crayon. Her creativity was not a hobby but a way of seeing, and it touched everything she did.
Michelle was remarkably intelligent, quick-witted, and blessed with a great sense of humour. She was the friend who made you laugh.
Her creativity was seen most in the kitchen, where she would bring a gourmet flair to all she did. Cooking became a career for her as she worked in restaurants across Vancouver and Kelowna.
Her gentleness was perhaps her most defining quality. She loved animals fiercely, especially her cats, and extended that same tenderness to every living thing she encountered. Kindness, for Michelle, was not an occasional choice but a constant practice. Her friendships lasted, from friends from high school to those she even met online.
She was gone too soon, and the shape of that loss is one her family and friends will carry for a long time. But the mark she left, in her art, in her laughter, in the countless small kindnesses. She will be remembered for her beautiful soul.
She will be deeply missed by her parents, Dale and Lynn; her siblings, Yvonne Rogers, Nicole (Greg) Marsh, and Jason (Tanya); as well as her beloved nieces and nephews, Brittany, Jenny, Gracie, Cailey, Alexa, Emilie, Mathew, and Cole.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Michelle on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 3:00 pm, in the backyard at 4450 Gordon Drive, #153, Kelowna, BC.

Michelle was my nieghbour for 12 yrs and as soon as we met we became gardening buddies, exchanging plants and ideas .. and brought me beautiful dahlia bulbs from her mom !! : )
She often looked after my garden while I was away on holidays.. at Xmas time she made cookies for us, and just brought over dishes of food !!
She was my friend indeed and with great sadness I will miss her greatly 😢 💔 XX
Sending my deepest condolences to the whole Armeneau Family for the loss of Michelle. I remember her well as a neighbour on the corner of Lomond & Perth Rd. Our Quigley Elem school days and hanging out at your house with Yvonne, sledding, delivering papers, riding bikes and all the things we use to do as Kids in the 70’s. Truly sad, wishing you All peace & strength in the coming days ahead.
Rest Easy Michelle.
