We Remember

ARNESON, Helen
May 4, 1946 — February 16, 2025
Helen passed away peacefully with her niece Kim by her side on February 16, 2025, at Kelowna General Hospital after a brief and unexpected illness.
She spent 40 years of her life dedicated to working closely with three generations of the Bennett family who took incredibly good care of her throughout her tenure.
She is survived by her longtime best friend Norma Johnson; cousin Gary (Barbara) Dickinson; and second cousins John (Sonja), Katherine (Tom), Mark (Amy), Glen (Arpitha), Kim; and her two dogs Tippi and Charlie who she loved dearly.
The family thanks all the doctors, nurses and specialists in the ICU at Kelowna General Hospital for providing exceptional care.
She will be laid to rest at the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery overlooking the city she adored.
In lieu of service, donations may be made to the KGH Foundation.

Helen was a dear cousin and friend and will be much missed by all of our family. We’ll miss the visits, walks, and phone calls with her, and she will be in our hearts forever.
I was so sorry to hear that Helen had passed. She was such a fixture on Old Meadows Road. She was a great neighbour and friend. I will miss our Tim’s ice caps on the back deck. Rest in Peace Helen.
