We Remember
BADER, Aaron Christopher
January 20, 1989 — October 2, 2022
It is with profound sadness that we as a family announce the sudden passing of our beloved Aaron Christopher Bader. We lost him suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, October 2, 2022, in Vancouver, BC. He was a beloved son, dedicated and loving father, husband, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend.
Aaron was born on January 20, 1989, to Paula Callan and Daryl Bader in Barrie, ON. He graduated from W.L. Seaton Secondary School in Vernon, and in the same year, he also graduated from Okanagan University College as a welder. He pursued a passionate and successful career as a welder-fabricator for Murray Latta at Vancouver International Airport and the surrounding area.
Everyone who knew Aaron could attest to his incredibly generous nature, his selfless love, and zest for life. Aaron loved science fiction and wrote stories from an early age. He even wrote a science fiction novel during the pandemic.
He is predeceased by his grandmothers Elaine Bader and Patricia Callan, and grandfather, Clive Callan. He is and survived by his mother Paula, his father, Daryl, his Stepmom Petra, Stepdad Peter, his daughter Cypress, age 7, his son Jamie, age 10, his stepchildren, Angelica, and Robert, his two brothers Braydon, and Jakub, his sister Nikola, and his wife Alex, his grandfather Ken, and many cousins, relatives, and friends.

Thank you Rhonda xo
I was one of the guys Arron worked with at the airport. I have to say I really am saddened to hear about his passing, he was one of the very few people I enjoyed the privilege of knowing…I always said we have the same sense of humor, and the same tastes for great food. I will always think back to our talks and emails with fondness and a laugh or two. My condolences to your family. I will very much miss Arron
Thank you Dave. Your message is very comforting. It’s so good to hear about our Aaron from you. Yes his humour and love of good food were hallmarks of who he was. It’s unbelievable to know he’s left us. xo
Our sympathies for your loss. May his light shine brightly through his children for you Paula.

Paula (Peter), Daryl (Petra), Braydon, Cypress and Jamie. We are so heartbroken by the loss of Aaron. No family deserves to go through this when a son, brother, father is this young. The pictures we have seen of Aaron throughout his years conveyed his passions, his fun loving personality, his talents and creativity and his dedication to his family. We are so sorry for the loss of Aaron and hope in time you will find some peace. When grief begins to subside we hope your memories of who he was will remain strong and make you smile remembering your time with him.

Dear Aaron, we will forever miss your easy smile, your kind and selfless heart and your genuine spirit. Whenever you were with us in a room, your love for Jakub and Nikola warmed my heart. Our lives, without you, will never be the same. Fly with the angels Aaron, be free…
What a huge loss, Aaron was such a fantastic friend, father and husband. Aaron was a great friend of mine when I lived in Vernon before moving north in 2012. I first met Aaron working at Beachcomber where we had some great times doing dumb stuff in the delivery van and blasting metal everywhere we went. We laughed so much at that job and his hate for that job was even funnier. I vividly remember him studying for his welding certificate which he became a great fabricator and welder. Aaron was a huge metalhead and we attended quite a few shows together. I included a photo of Aaron with Dallas Wade when seeing Nile in Seattle which was his first time seeing them. Aaron was a huge foodie as well, everytime I saw him Alex and Aaron were always cooking something delicious and were so generous. Memphis BBQ was a common stop as well and was the go to spot whenever I visited Vancouver. Rest in peace brother, the world lost an amazing man. My condolences to his entire family and anyone who knew him.
Chance, thank you for those kind words. I smiled as I read your memories of Aaron. We will honour him at the service and his many talents. Thank you for being his friend. xo

Thinking about you and all the family lots as you navigate this time. The memories you have will stay in your heart always. Sending hugs.
Dear Daryl, Paula and Family,
Departure of Aaron came to us as a shock. We met Aaron when he was young man who tried to find his place in life, and he succeeded. I worked with him for a few years in the same company and I was proud to be his guide and mentor. I saw the change in him, when he became a responsible adult taking care of his family and raising his children. He exceeded company’s expectations with his work, and was always eager to learn new things. He was never shy to ask for advice or help. He also had a wicked sense of humour and sometimes we didn’t know if he was serious our joking. Only when he started laughing, we got it. He was a bright young man who had his future ahead of him. We will always remember him for his kindness and love for people.
Thank you for your kind words. It means the world at this dark time in our lives.
Dear Daryl, Paula, Brayden, Alex, Jakub, Nikola, Petra, Ken and Family,
Our sincerest condolences for you at this difficult time. We were so saddened to hear about Aaron’s passing. We hope and pray that you will have strength during this time of loss. When we lived in Port Coquitlam years ago, Aaron visited us quite often. We always loved when he came over and had our homemade Czech dinners with us, which he really enjoyed. One time he came over to show us his little boy, Jamie. He was so proud and happy to become a father.
Our hearts are with you.
Thank you Eva. Your thoughts and love mean a lot. xo
My Dear Paula, thinking of you and your family as you navigate through this difficult time. Beautiful Celebration of Life. My heart is aching just watching this. Sending a virtual hug.
Your friend Skende
Thank you so much Skende. Your love means the world. xo
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of the moving and honouring service for Aaron today, we watched it live from New Zealand. We knew Aaron when he was young (I think he was just four or five when we first met him) and have fond memories of the cutest little guy with a husky voice, huge smile, and “seize the day” attitude to life. It seems he grew into an incredible man and his children are such a legacy of a loving father. You must be so proud of him. You are in our thoughts and prayers lots and this is all still difficult to comprehend.
Thank you for those kind words, and fond memories Tania. Thank you for being there with us to celebrate Aaron. I miss him so much.
I didn’t know Aaron but from what I have been told and I saw at the memorial he was a great father, son, brother and friend. He will be missed by so many.
We are so very sorry for your loss. We hope that your happy memories of Aaron will help guide you through this difficult time. Remember that he will be in your hearts forever.
To the family.
I send you love and pray you find peace in your heart.
For the children. I never met your dad but I have heard so much about the father he was. He was someone very special and loved you to depth of his soul. Remember all the special things you did with him, all the laughter and fun you had and know that he is never more than a thought and a whisper away.
Sending you all so much love. ❤️
Iris
My sincerest condolences to you Paula and your family. Especially Aaron’s beautiful children.
I am so saddened by this news, my heart goes out to all of you, May Aaron’s children remember him for the good man he was and also that a father’s love for his children does not die, and it guides them through life, even in his absence. Christine, Sadie and I send our to all of you.
I am shocked and dismayed to be learning now of Aaron’s passing. He and I were good friends years ago and sadly drifted apart due to life circumstances. I’ve never forgotten Aaron and the good times we shared, and was browsing online with hopes of perhaps reconnecting. I am devastated to learn of his untimely passing. I grieve for his two beautiful children, as I know he must’ve been a wonderful father. I have many fond memories of Aaron and hope that his soul is at peace. It seems so unfair that someone so full of life, humor, energy, and kindness is really gone. My deepest condolences go out to his loved ones.
Thank you so much Dina. I appreciate your message and love behind it. It is truly unfair as you say. It means so much to us and comforts us in our grief. I’m so sorry you had to find out this way. It’s shocking. So hard to process

Aaron was just a lovely man and a good friend. So kind, so devoted, and such a warm heart. I hate using the past tense, still can’t believe it. i hope you are surrounded by all the love and comfort you need, as you grieve.
