BAILEY, Ralph Alan UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION

June 5, 1940 — June 4, 2024

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 1:00 pm, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 625 Franklyn Road, Kelowna, BC.

It is with great sadness and a deep love that we announce the loss of Ralph Alan Bailey, who passed away on June 4, 2024, just shy of his 84th birthday. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in his own bed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Valerie Bailey; his 5 children, Todd, (whom he called “#1 Son”) and his spouse Susan (whom he called “Q”), Trevor and his spouse Shannon, Terrina (whom he called “Dolly”) and her spouse Russ, Tyler (whom he called “Moose”) and his spouse Jamie and Tamara (whom he called “Roo”) and her spouse Eli; his 6 grandsons, Dayton (whom he called “Cruiser”) and his wife Dorothy, Tristin, Braxtin, Lextin, Kingstin (whom he called “King Fisher”) and Calvin; as well as 2 granddaughters, Charlize (whom he called “Charlie”) and Caitlin. Ralph is also survived by his brother Harvey and sister Sherri (whom he called “Sis”).

He spent most of his life driving trucks hauling logs, and enjoyed spending time fishing at his favourite fishing holes with his grandkids.

Ralph always had a good story to tell of the adventures from his younger days with his brothers and whichever new vehicle they had at the time and his logging day feats. He was known to say “See you on the first” and enjoyed making others laugh. He was one who liked to give a nickname, as his handle was Cougar. Ralph was known to respond with the affirmative ten four or 5522 as he would in his radio communications in his truck.

He had a memorable laugh and mischievous spirit. His stories and his laugh will be missed. We are grateful that this is only goodbye for now, as we know we will see him again soon.

Rest easy, dear papa.

See you on the first. heart

Memorial donations in Ralph’s honour may be sent to the Paws for a Cause event or another SPCA event.
