We Remember
BAKER, Jeffrey Scot
March 16, 1964 — May 7, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the loss of Jeffrey Scot Baker, who passed away on May 7, 2026, at the age of 62, due to complications of ALS.
Left to hold him dear to their hearts are those he loved most, including his beloved wife of 42 years, Sandra; children Melissa (Matt) Taylor and Daniel (Rob) Baker; grandchildren Ryder and Aspen Taylor; father Craig Baker; sisters Loree (Brent) and Jennifer (Bill); as well as his in-laws Gerry and Laura Baron, Rob (Corina), and Patricia (Paul); and numerous nieces and nephews. Sadly predeceased by his mother Doris (d.2025).
Jeff was born on March 16, 1964, in Brandon, Manitoba, and spent his life surrounded by the things he loved most — nature, the outdoors, and the people closest to him. He found great joy in fishing, whether out on the ice in winter or fly-fishing during warmer days, and treasured the time spent at their winter cabin at Beaver Lake. Jeff also enjoyed quadding, snowmobiling, and the simple comfort of listening to the crackle of a good campfire under the open sky. Even everyday moments, like cutting the grass or lending a hand to friends at their ranch, brought him happiness and purpose. Springtime branding cattle was another tradition he looked forward to each year.
Above all else, Jeff will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness, hardworking nature, and generous spirit touched the lives of many.
A Memorial Service will be held on FRIDAY, MAY 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM, located at SPRINGFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.
