So sorry to hear that Fred (Mr. Balkau) has passed away. My thoughts are with you Mrs. Balkau and Gail (Angie) and the rest of your family.
He was a kind and uplifting man who always had a smile. He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
I will always remember going to the beach in Kelowna with your family as a child (the park with the big red apple) as well as his love for carpentry.
Brenda Mullen (Reeve)

I was deeply saddened to hear that Fred (Mr Balkau) has passed away. I and all our family have a lot of great memories of Mr. Balkau (to us kids). Teaching us German words of which I still remember to this day. Thinking of you at this time Irma, Angie(Gail) and family.
