Balmforth, Margaret

January 16, 1938 — May 4, 2011

BALMFORTH, Margaret Frances(nee Kennedy) passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the age of 73.  Survived by her loving husband James; daughter Marcia Escontria (nee Balmforth) (Miguel) of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; two sons: James Edward Balmforth of Surrey, BC, David Paul Balmforth (Lynn) of Telkwa, BC; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers: John Kennedy (Frances) of Victoria, BC, and Victor Kennedy (Barbara) of Victoria, BC.  Predeceased by her brother Lawrence Kennedy, father Edward Kennedy and her mother Irene Kennedy (nee Bickford).  Margaret was, for many years, a member of Beta Signa Phi Sorority, presently Master Mu Chapter in Kelowna.  She had a smile for everyone and a laugh that no one forgot.  Margaret was an avid knitter and seamstress and loved her needlepoint.  She was a partner to her husband James for almost 57 years.  Margaret will be greatly missed.  A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 17th at 1:00 pm at Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond, BC with Rev. Ron Watson officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the BC Chapter – Huntington Society of Canada, P.O.
