Bankowski, Stan

April 11, 1929 — October 14, 2011

BANKOWSKI, Stan passed away on October 14, 2011 at the age of 82.  Survived by his loving wife Muriel, son Colin (Andrea) Bankowski of Saskatoon, grandson Wyatt Bankowski, brother Henry Bankowski of Saskatoon and sister Irene Clancey of Kelowna.  Stan was a good husband, father, uncle and grandpa and his memory will be cherished.  We will miss you.  A celebration of Stan’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road with Reverend Jack McLaughlin officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation:  2268 Pandosy St., Kelowna, BC, V1Y 1T2.  Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com, 250-860-7077.

    Dear Muriel and family,
    I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathies to you. I had the privelege of volunteering with Stan at the MCC Thrift shop. He was very pleasant to work with. He was always willing to help out with any task asked of him. Thank you for sharing him with us to further the work of MCC.
