Went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the age of 80. Survived by her loving husband Ted, of 59 years; two daughters: Lynn Owens (Donald) of Campbell River, BC, Laurie Barry (Terry Montague) of Oyama, BC; daughter-in-law Karen Barry (Dan Obzera); grandchildren: David (Carmen) and Steven(Shyla) Owens, James, Alex and Travis Barry, Kenneth Monture, Tyler and Emily Montague; great grandchildren: Megan and Kenya Owens, Austin, Caiden, Kendra and Mitchell Owens and extended family. Predeceased by son David in 1998 and granddaughter Sarah Monture in 2002. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 21st at 1:00 pm at St. Edward’s Roman Catholic Church, 11123 Okanagan Centre Road East, Lake Country, BC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Centre for the Southern Interior, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 5L3. I was sad to hear about Sally, I always enjoyed our visits and loved her laugh. she will be missed by all who knew her.

It was with great sadness that I saw Sally’s obituary in the Terrace Standard earlier this week. Ted, my mother and father always spoke fondly and with great warmth about both you and Sally. She will be missed. I am thinking of you in this time of grief and sadness. My condolences.
We were so sorry to hear of the passing of our fellow curler/partier/shopper and Great Friend Sallbear…what a “Classy Special Lady” she was! We spent many a night sitting at the curling rink solving all the problems of the world with laughter! Many memorable trips to the Scotts and World Curling Championships! To Ted and family my sincere condolences to you. So many great memories for all! Cheers to our Classy friend!

We spent many evenings sitting at the curling rink solving all t he problems of the world over many drinks and lots of laughter. We curled and traveled to many bonsipiels and even went to the Scotts and World Curling Championships(Bonspieling not Curling) Yes, lots of great memories…To Ted and family my sincere Condolences. We are very sorry to learn of the passing of such a great lady. You can truly tell the success of a parent by the outcome of their children. Great kids, great parents! This is the obvious case here.
