BEAUPRE, Marguerite Renee “Mimi”

November 2, 1946 — November 29, 2024

Marguerite Renee “Mimi” Beaupre passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 29, 2024, at Kelowna General Hospital in Kelowna, BC, at the age of 78.

Born on November 2, 1946, in North Battleford, SK, Mimi was one of six siblings. She met the love of her life, Yves, at 16, and they were married four years later, enjoying 62 wonderful years together. Mimi worked as an administrator, and with Yves, built a life filled with adventure. They first moved to Edmonton, Alberta – that was the beginning of their many travels together.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Yves; her children Carl, Marc (Candace), and Natalie; and her cherished grandchildren Alyssa, Joshua, Sophie, Aysha, and Ziko. She is also survived by her brothers, Guy (Jean) and Laurent (Anne) and sister Suzanne (David). She was predeceased by her parents, Leo & Solange, her brother Bernard, and her sister Jeannette.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.

A Celebration of Life, will be held on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2024, at 1:00 PM (PST) at SPRINGFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. If you are unable to attend in person, please join the family online by Livestream at the time of the service, a recording will be made available to view shortly thereafter.

After my tears dried Ray and I relived some of our happy memories, the crazy bridge games,the great beach walks and trying not to drown in the surf.     I just watched Mimi‘s celebration of life, and found it so touching and beautiful. It was wonderful to hear Natalie, Carl and Marc‘s reflections about their mom. And what a pleasure to hear Yves singing “La Vie en Rose.” I remember Mimi when we were kids, and how kind she always was – and fun too!
