Margaret passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the age of 92. Survived by her loving family: son David (Jeanne Wikberg) of Dawson City, Yukon; sister-in-law Bernice Brodie of Kelowna, BC and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Raymond and daughter Barbara. Mom was a dedicated teacher, avid golfer and committed bridge player. My thoughts and prayers are with the Bennett family at this most difficult time. Miss Brodie was my favourite teacher and I was fortunate enough to have her for grades 2, 3, and 4.
Was saddened to see this in paper today. Mrs. Bennett was my teacher many years ago, and her kindness and amazing teaching abilities made my time spent in her class some of my most special memories of elementary school. I remember fondly her and David and Barbara coming to our house for supper, and I have shared with my own children how one absolutely favorite teacher can influence your future. My condolences to your family.
I am so sorry to hear of Marg’s passing. She was my neighbour when she lived at Sandringham and I enjoyed her company over a cup of tea or a game of Bridge. A special lady, I will remember.
Peace to her family.
So sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. We so enjoyed her wit at our family reunion in Alberta a few years ago. Had dinner with her and brother Dave a year or so later in Kelowna. Everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her will definitely miss her.
