It is with sadness that we announce the passing of David Alfred Berg, November 21, 2019 at the age of 69.
Dave was born on July 27, 1950 in Edmonton, AB. His family later moved to Kamloops, BC where Dave lived until as an adult. Dave eventually settled in Penticton, BC, where he and his wife Laura raised their family and owned and operated Dalor Glass. In recent years Dave and Laura lived throughout Western Canada as Dave traveled for work, but earlier this year had decided to return to the Okanagan (West Kelowna) for good.
Dave is predeceased by his parents Alfred and Ellen Berg. He is survived by his wife Laura (nee Niessen) and his children: Terri (Eli) van Ek-Veenstra, Nicole (Trevor) Evans, Cody (Megan) Berg and his 8 wonderful grandchildren: Willem, Thomas, Daniel, Rylee, Ricky, Ember, Lucy and Adeline. Dave is also survived by his siblings: Barb (John) Bulk, Bruce (Pearl) Berg, Linda (Murray) Rossnagel, Sheila Berg, Dale Berg; as well as numerous nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews.
A celebration of Dave’s life will be held on December 11, 2019 at 11:00 am with a tea to follow at Emmanuel Church – 2600 Hebert Road, West Kelowna, BC. So very sorry to of David”s passing. I have many fond memories from the time he lived with Aunt Alice while attending school in Edmonton. Condolences to his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. I am so glad I had a chance to visit with him at his Mom’s celebration of life earlier this year. My sincere sympathy to all his family.

Dave had that…something. Folks liked to be around him. As a youngster I looked up to him when we visited BC. Got re-acquainted in recent years, and now living nearby, will miss the opportunity to get together. Our condolences to the family.
