Passed away peacefully on Friday, July 6, 2012 at the age of 84. Survived by his loving wife Audrey of 59 years, son Bruce (Valerie) Bergen, daughter Cathy Roffe, son Brent (Kristal) Bergen, foster child Rosemary Gladue-Bergen, seven grandchildren Bradley, Jennifer, Candice, Alyson, Hailey, Marlain, Hailey and four great grandchildren, brothers Dick and Cornelius, sisters Margaret, Nettie, Helen, Tina, Susan, Betty and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Sadly predeceased by foster child Thomas Johnstone, daughter Linda, son-in-law Robert Roffe, brothers Henry, Abe and Jake. Special thanks to Dr. Alexis Thomson as well as all the doctors and nurses at Kelowna General Hospital, Interior Health and Hospice House. A Celebration of Pete’s Life will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 1:00 pm at First Mennonite Church, 1305 Gordon Drive, Kelowna, BC with Pastor Kevin Barkowsky officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Okanagan Hospice Association – Hospice House, 2035 Ethel Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 2Z6.

Dear Audrey and family, words can not express how sad I was to read of Pete’s passing. I think of you often and wondered how you all were doing. I will not be able to attend Pete’s funeral as I will be out of town, but my thoughts and prayers will be with you all during this difficult time.
