We Remember

BIDDESON, Elva Merle (née Nye)
January 6, 1948 — December 16, 2024
Elva Biddeson passed away peacefully in Kelowna, BC on December 16, 2024.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas James Biddeson, and her previous husband, Garry McAndrew. She is survived by her brother Erle Nye and sister-in-law Jeanne and their family, as well as her sister Reba Willis and brother-in-law Warren and their family; and many extended family members and friends.
Elva spent many years working at BC Tel (now Telus). After her retirement, Elva found a new passion in life as a pet groomer, dedicating her time to the care and grooming of beloved animals. Her love for animals was evident in everything she did, and she found immense joy in helping them look and feel their best.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the many animals whose lives she touched. Elva leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and a reminder to cherish the bond we share with the creatures around us.
Following Elva’s wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC SPCA.

Elva lived next door to us in Kamloops when she was just a child. We had some good times together with Elva, Reba, Earl and the family. I remember loving the pancakes that Elva’s mom would make on Sunday mornings. Such good memories with the whole Nye family! 😊
My condolences to the family – I worked with Elva at BC Tel on 10th Avenue in Burnaby..
Elva was so special. I worked with her at BC Tel for many years. She was smart, funny and a pleasure to work with.
She was also the glue that brought a bunch of us together for socials a few times a year. Those were good times. When she left the mainland and moved to Cranbrook we never got together again. Like I said, she was the glue that held us all together.
My husband and I visited with Elva and Tom when we went to Mexico and it was always so nice to see each other.
I believe we’ll meet again some day.
My condolences to her family!
I worked with Elva at BCTel many years ago – I think I was 18 or 19 she was always so kind to me. Like so many other co- workers we lost touch over the years. My condolences to her family.
