We Remember

BIDEN, June Gwendolyn
November 17, 1921 — September 10, 2013
In loving memory, the family wishes to announce the passing of June (Junie) Biden at age 91, on September 10, 2013.
June passed away peacefully at Kelowna General Hospital with the family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Douglass Edmond Biden, she is survived by her sons Bill Biden (wife Cindy), Mike Biden (wife Shelly) and daughter Karen Ostry (husband Mark), her many grandchildren and great grandsons.
June’s journey took her from her birthplace of Kingston, Ontario through stops in Great Britain, France and the United States of America; finally retiring in Kelowna, BC. June loved to laugh, joke around all the while enjoying family and friends, many whom were more like extended family.
A very special thanks to the staff at the CHATSWORTH RETIREMENT HOME for the kindness and special care afforded her, these last few years. A very special thanks and recognition is extended to all the kitchen staff, cleaning staff and care givers who took the time to support her with kindness and special care.
To the hospital staff on the fourth floor of the Kelowna General Hospital, we the family wish to thank you for the respectful, dignified and professional care which you all provided June in her final hours. Our mother was so fortunate to have such dedicated staff to provide such compassionate care.
The family wishes to express a very special thanks to Dr. G. Verster and his staff for their compassionate care over the years.

Dear Biden family;
I am so sorry to hear of the death of your dear Mother, June.She was such a warm and fun loving lady and Albert and I loved her so. She so loved her family and was so proud of you all.
God be with you at this very tender time of saying good-bye.
Love, Beryl Baldeo
When June’s Son Bill came into the jewellery store where June liked to go I asked how his Mom was doing. It was very sad to hear that she was no longer with us. My fond memory of her will be how we used to have a giggle about her name being June Gwendolyn and mine being Gwendolyn Anne. We both agreed that there wasn’t many Gwendolyns that we knew of so we had better stick together. I will truly miss her not coming into the store anymore. I feel honoured for having had the pleasure of meeting her. My heartfelt sympathy to all of her family.
I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
