BILLEY, Edward (Ed)
August 30, 1936 — January 3, 2014
Ed passed away peacefully at Kelowna Hospice House on Friday, January 3, 2014. He grew up on a family farm in Clayhurst, then Rolla BC, and later farmed for many years in Baldonnel BC, before retiring to Kelowna. He enjoyed a good laugh along with a good dance and will be remembered fondly by many. Ed is survived by Doris, his wife of 55 years, sons Curtis (Joan), Wade (Janet), Kent (Earla), and Brett (Jodi); his brother Ernie (Sharron); sisters Teresa, Marlys (Clifford), and Stella (Howard); as well as eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Ed was pre-deceased by Sister Lucy, Brothers Bill, Andy, Steve and John. A celebration of Ed’s life will be held at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna on Saturday January 11, 2014 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Central Okanagan Hospice Association, 104 – 1456 St. Paul Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2E6, or Kelowna General Hospital Association, 2268 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 1T2.
