We Remember
BLONDIN, Garth Martin
March 5, 1960 — August 18, 2013
It is with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to our dear son and brother, Garth, who passed away suddenly at the age of 53 after struggling with declining health issues. Garth was predeceased by his father Ralph Ernest Blondin. He is survived by his Mother, Ida Blondin and his sisters; Lorena (Jim) Martens, Marian Grundy, Joan (Mike) Stabick, Fran (Don) Zerr, Laura (Floyd) Dixon, and numerous nieces and nephews. Garth was a gentle soul and hard worker. Most of his working life was spent as a professional glazier. He moved to BC to enjoy the warmer weather, he loved it there. He also loved fishing, was a great cook and enjoyed building aquariums for his tropical fish and few were aware that he was an undiscovered artist. We will miss him dearly. A simple graveside service will be held Monday, September 30th @ 2PM at Regina Memorial Gardens Hwy 1 E.

We send our deepest sympathies, at this time of your loss. Pete worked with Garth for several years at All Kinds of Glass. Pete describes Garth as “The quietest, funny guy that he has ever met, and had the pleasure of working with”. As well I had several opportunities to meet Garth when I would drop in at the job sites, and again he was always struck me as a man that was so sweet, gentle-spirited and good natured. Always a little smile on his face. We are so sad for your loss, and for Garth’s life to have been cut so short. Please know we will pray for your family, for peace and comfort at this time. Also that just knowing Garth was a real gift to us, so thank you for that. Kindest regards, Pete and Colleen Minchau, Black Mountain Sunrooms, Windows and Glass – Kelowna BC

I was upset to hear about Garth’s passing. In the twelve years I knew him I never seen him angry or mean to anyone. You could walk into a crowded room and pick out his infectious laugh above the roaring crowed every time. Garth had many friends and will be remembered by them in there own way. As for me When some one roars out in laughter I will think of Garth.
To the entire Blondin family…I am so sorry you have lost your son, your brother, your uncle. He was a sweet boy, this is so very sad. My condolence.
