BOHN, Peter
—
Husband, Dad, Papa and Great Papa.
Went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the age of 89. Survived by his loving wife Anna, of 65 years; three daughters: Judy Meier (Philip) of Kelowna, Donna Bohn of Calgary, Debra Galinski (Paul) of Powell River, BC; son James Bohn of Kelowna; six grandchildren: Daphne, Greg (Kellie), Jason (Christine), Christine (Steve), Devan and Shaylee; six great grandchildren: Karrson, Keaton, Ava, Cameron, Cassidy and Neviah; brother John Bohn (Hilda) of Kelowna; five sisters: Pat Sperle (Matt), Barbara Newton (Dennis), Ida Byrtus, all of Kelowna, Kate Miller of Cranbrook and Joanie Huszti of California; many brothers and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews. Sadly predeceased by brothers and sisters.
Peter was born January 30, 1923 in Frankfurt, Germany. He moved to Canada when he was two years of age. He met the love of his life, Anna Bosch in Kelowna, BC and they married on April 15, 1947. Peter spent many years of hard work as an orchardist living in the Belgo area for 53 years. He was an extremely hard worker, working in the sawmill by day and looking after his orchard from dawn till dusk. In 2000 they moved to Sunrise Village, where he continued his love of putzing around in his garden, always loving his fresh veggies. Peter was a great fisherman and loved going to his cabin at Oyama Lake. He was a great card player and loved his weekly card playing with his many friends. Most of all he had a great love for his family, he enjoyed family dinners and always had a joke to tell. We will all miss you very much and rest peaceful until we all meet you again. Save an ouze for us in heaven!

Donna/Anna and Family
Very sorry to hear about Peter,my condolences to you and your family.
From all the Rieger family who were Peter’s near neighbours and dear friends, our most sincere condolences. I will always remember Peter’s rides home after sports practises at Rutland High School. I would often be hiking and he was coming home from his shift at the mill. Could not have asked for nicer neighbours!
Our deepest sympathy on the passing of your father.
