We Remember
BONNEAU, Linda Dianne
—
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our loving mother, wife, grandmother, Linda Dianne Bonneau. She was the sweetest, kindest, most loving and giving person we know.
The world has lost another fine woman. Linda passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the age of 62 years. Linda was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta where she had an active and happy childhood: the home was a busy place, full of laughter and friends. Her mother Olga was a great cook and she passed on her savoury festival food which attracted all the family to the gatherings to which all were welcome. Her father Cliff ran a service station. Linda married Tony Miles, raised two sons and one daughter in Edmonton. In 1995 she married Patrick Bonneau for the last 25 years and forever & forever. Despite all the challenges Linda faced in her life, she woke up every morning with her three children in her heart and Pat and Peanut (her dog) by her side with a coffee.
Linda was predeceased by her Mother Olga, step-dad Jim, father-in-law Patrick, mother-in-law Dorothy, Baba Nancy and Grandma Helen. She is survived by husband Pat; children: Jason, Jefferson (Kim), Carla; father Cliff (Joyce); brothers: Dale, Bob (Jeanne), Doug (Cathy), Mike; sisters: Susan (Peter), Wendy, Colleen, Terri (Ward), Loa (John); sisters-in-law: Gloria (Kevin), Sandra (John); brother-in-law Brian (Carol); grandchildren: Hailey Pearl, Jahniqua Aurora, Jahzaria Anastasia, Jermaine, Jasmine, Julia, Joshua, Amelia, David, Thomas, Anna, Scott, Alex; as well as numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will be hosting a Memorial on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna. A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held right after the memorial at brother Brian’s home, 560 Keithly Road: everyone is welcome!
In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, www.heartandstroke.ca. If you wish to send a condolence, post photos, or to share a memory, please scroll down this page to the area called “share your condolences.”

I found my sister two years ago and she welcomed me with open arms. We talked on the phone weekly. She loved saying she was my “little” sister as she was no longer the oldest! Her world was her husband, children and family and I grew to know them through her. She had a generous and loving spirit and would have done anything to help out her children. Although I’m very saddened to have had her such a short time I am blessed to have known her and her love. Until we meet again “little sister”.
My heart, mind and prayers are with family and loved ones through this time. Please accept my deepest condolences. Linda – your soul is now free of the seemingly burdens of this world you carried. May you fly free into your new life. We honor, cherish, and remember the life you were. Getting through this life is an accomplishment in and of itself. Thank you for doing the best you knew how. Thank you for giving of yourself what you could give. We will remember that. Thank you for the life you gave – and as the cycle of life goes – this gave me two of the greatest gifts of all – two beautiful, brilliant daughters to accompany and join me through these auspicious times as we guide others through the great change, by our example . (Something you told me you got but didn’t quite understand. You will now be able to see the vastness of this in wholeness). You are held in the highest space of love always and forever. You always said you felt so peaceful when you were around me. I say to you now, peace be with you eternally. We love you.
I met Linda when we were just teenagers. She was so beautiful and very popular. She ended up marrying my brother. We lost contact over the years. I’m sad we didnt get to reconnect. I wish my niece Carla and my nephews Jefferson and Jason srength and love during this difficult time. RIP Linda. Love Auntie Mickee
Linda always treated me with kindness, no matter the length of time that elasped in seeing me. Whether when I was little, drinking tea in her kitchen after just moving to Kelowna, or coming back again after years of being away. When she meant my kids she treated them with the same kindess and love.
RIP Aunt Linda.
I’m very happy I had the chance to have Linda in my life she was an amazing soul. I will always remember her giving me good advice and joking around outside on her little porch filled with beautiful flowers and with peanut always by her side . I would visit my mom at the lake and every time I walked past Linda’s Home she would bang and wave and smile huge out her window and call me in to come visit. I miss that so much. Condolences to the family ❤️ R.I.P Linda I will always carry a piece of you with me in my heart
