We Remember
BORNE, Regg
October 10, 1972 — April 3, 2017
With a mixture of sadness, immense joy and gratitude, we said farewell to our beloved son and brother, Regg. He loved to ride around Kelowna using the bus system. During the last several months of his illness a special friend favored him on Monday just to ride the double decker bus. How fitting then, that on Monday, April 3, he boarded the 9:20 am bus for heaven to meet Jesus. There to meet him were his grandparents, many family members and special friend Jim Baerg, who had promised to be on his welcoming committee. Missing him, but cheering him on are his loving parents, Vern and Marge Borne; brother Russell Borne; sister Edee and Dan Buehler and family: Ryan and Jill Buehler; Kevin and Olivia Buehler and their daughters Audrie and Jubilee; and a large, loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 11:00 am at Willow Park Church, 439 Hwy 33, Kelowna, BC, V1X 1Y2. Should family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Communitas Supportive Care Society (www.communitascare.com).

Dear Marge, Vern and family
We are so sorry to hear of Regg’s passing. He was an amazing young guy full of life gone way too soon. A sweet, kind and caring person, he really put the “gentle” in gentleman. I’m blessed to have known him and proud to call him my friend. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Love Jackie and Brian Burnham and family
Thanks for your words! You pegged it so accurately in that my brother was truly a “Gentle Man”. Appreciate your sharing.
Edee
So sorry to hear of your loss.See you soon.
Chris
Thinking of you Reg Rest in peace my friend – thoughts and prayers to the family – remembering Reg riding my number 10 bus from Rutland to Queensway and home as he went to Pathways – Frank the Bus Driver
Dear Marge, Vern and Family
It was with sadness that I heard of Regg’s passing. I have so many fond memories of Regg. He was one of my first students and we had so many fun times learning together. My thoughts are with you at this time.
Jane
I am sorry to hear of Regg’s passing. I had the pleasure teaching Regg physical education at KLO for several years. Regg showed me a lot of sympathy when I had torn an Achilles’ tendon. We were awesome badminton partners – one of his favourite sports at the time. Rest in peace Regg – I’ll never forget you.

It was a shock to hear of Regg’s passing! I hadn’t seen him for awhile but he is one of the most precious souls I know. So very gentle and beautiful in his way. Our loss but heavens gain, no doubt. Blessings to your family!
sorry to hear about your loss…saw him a couple weeks ago at timmys orchard park…God bless.
I remember when we were new to your family. Reg loved Darrell’s “hair do”. He would rub Darrell’s bald head and say “nice hairdo” and laugh and laugh. Darrell was all he noticed when we were around. It wasn’t until I started working at Willow again that he was able to place me. Reg started working with Tony and I was heading out one day for lunch with you, Edee. I saw Reg and said “hey Reg, guess who I’m going for lunch with today?” I told him it was with his sister and that you were a best friend of mine. That was it, from that day forward, he knew I was safe and we were able to have several hallway visits. He was such a joy to be around. Always friendly, always a chuckle in our conversations. I’m going to miss him.
My heart hurts for my Buehler/Borne family during this time. So very sad we are unable to join you to celebrate Reggy! God bless you all and may He wrap you in His loving arms and fill you with His wonderful peace.
Much love, Julie, Darrell & Family
