We Remember
BOTHAM, Lois Doreen
June 16, 1932 — November 5, 2016
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the age of 84. Lois is survived by her daughter Penni (Jack) May of Kelowna; grandsons Tim (Norma Jean) May of Victoria, and Rusty (Lindsay) May of Calgary; four great grandchildren: Hudson, Weston, Cohen and Ellis; brother Frank (Jean) Reynolds of Sherwood Park, AB; sisters-in-law: Betty and Mary Reynolds; as well as many dearly loved nieces and nephews. Lois is sadly predeceased by her husband Jack, brothers Kenneth, Jack, and Dale, and sister Eleanor. Mom was born in Bremner, Alberta on June 16, 1932, and moved to Vancouver in her early 20’s to pursue a career with Woodward’s. Her life career was as a dental assistant. Mom’s passion was golf. She was a member of the Kelowna Golf and Country Club for over 40 years, and very involved with golf on both a local and provincial level. My mother was an amazing person whom I loved dearly and I will miss her every day. She was a loving wife, aunt, sister, and true friend. Jack and I would like to extend special thanks to the staff, past and present, at Village at Mill Creek, Teri Laboucan and Dr. B. Eliason and Krystle for their continual kindness and exceptional care of Mom. At her request there will be no service.
“I Love You, Mama.”

Penni, I’m so sorry! I know how much you will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Jack.
So sad to hear of Lois’s death. Our hearts grieve along with friends and family. There is comfort and hope in what Revelation 21:4 says “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Also John 5:28 “Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth;” What a happy time that will be when death will be replaced with resurrections and Lois will live again. Although these thoughts do not take away the grief at present; may Gods Word be a source of comfort for you and your family.
I am so sorry for your loss Penny. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Penny, Len and I would like to express our condolences to you and Lois’ family. Len looked after your mom for quite a few years and than when he retired we both started volunteering at the village. I fell in love with your mom. What a treasure! I hope you cherish all the memories that you had together, as do we. For Lois I am happy she has no more pain or sorrows. God be with you during this year of firsts without her! Hattie
