We Remember
BOTTERILL, Ronald Charles
September 2, 1942 — July 31, 2017
Words cannot express the sadness experienced from the loss of this great man who was loved and respected by all who were fortunate to have him touch their lives. Ron was pre-deceased by his father Ronald Edward Botterill (1978), mother Irene Botterill (1999) and sister Elizabeth Erickson (1982). He is survived by Katherine Botterill, his loving wife, best friend and soul mate of 54 years; daughters: Kelly Botterill, Sherri Niittynen (Peter); son Ronald Edward Botterill; grandchildren: Ryan, Tyler, Mark, Greg and Nicole; extended family and many friends. Ron was a caring and devoted man who cherished his family and friends above all else. His enjoyment of life and witty sense of humor will be remembered by all, as he was always the person who lit up a room and spread happiness wherever he went. Ron was born and raised in Port Arthur, Ontario. Always being adventurous and open to new experiences, he relocated his family to BC in 1969. He spent many of his working years as a plumber/pipefitter in Local 170. Ron also was an orchardist and cattle rancher. After retiring, he spent many years vacationing in Yuma, Arizona and many other locales, where he and Katherine had the privilege to meet many new friends and share new adventures together. You will forever be missed and will live on in our hearts and memories. Until we meet again. As per Ron’s wishes, no service will be held.
We have so long feared the day,
When from us you would be taken away
Your soul is free and now you can fly,
To your new home in the eternal sky.
We will never forget you and one day we will be,
Together again for eternity.
