We Remember

BOYARCHUK, Ron

September 7, 1941 — August 23, 2022

Ronnie “Ron” Boyarchuk beloved husband, father, stepfather, uncle and friend, passed peacefully to his rest at 3:20 am, on August 23, 2022, with his devoted wife and caregiver Dian by his side.

Ron was born to Nadia and Bill Boyarchuk in Sundance, AB, Canada on September 7, 1941.  He was raised in a farming family of three brothers and one sister.

In 1949 the family moved to Vancouver, BC, where Ron attended Hastings Elementary, finished his education at Delta High School and began his career in the banking industry.  Ron spent 32 years and 1 day working with the Bank of Nova Scotia.  He was one of the lucky ones who didn’t need to change careers as the bank did that for him when he was transfered through 3 provinces, working in Vancouver, Alberta, and Toronto. His final transfer was to the Caribbean where he supervised St. Marteen, Curaçao and Bahamas.

Ron was predeceased by both parents; his older sister Helen Cook; and his older brothers Ben and Morris, and younger brother Gerry who died at a very early age.  He is survived by his loving and caring wife Dian; daughter Téa; stepdaughter Adigaye; and his three nephews, Randy, Gerry and Todd.

Ron was admired for his compassion his wit, his good nature and his love for good music and science of all types.

We give heartfelt thanks to the Kelowna General Hospital, more specifically the Renal Unit, that gave him tremendous care and compassion.
