We Remember

BOYD, Duncan Daniel

February 11, 1982 — July 6, 2024

Duncan was born in Edmonton, Alberta on February 11, 1982, and passed in Kelowna, BC on July 6, 2024.

Loved by his mother Dawn White; father Don Boyd and Patricia Thorne; brother Zach and Stephanie Boyd; nephews Lucas and Jonathan; his aunts and uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Duncan graduated from BCIT Avionics in August 2005, joined Kelowna Flightcraft in October 2005, and recently celebrated 18 years with the company. He was proud to be the “best” avionics technician. He rated the skill and dedication of the Kelowna General Hospital medical teams who recently cared for him, to his for avionics, “They are as good at their jobs as I am at avionics”.

KF Aerospace was good to him, he bragged about the tricky aspects of the job; learning new skills as it expanded; making many friends in the constantly growing KF; and how he enjoyed living in Kelowna, the best place in the world. Snowboarding, river rafting, paddleboarding, skateboarding, volleyball, and most of all spending time with friends (on the job and outside) made his life rich. He loved people; playing with his nephews and the children of friends were special moments, highlights in his life. He lived alone but loved women.

Those who wish may make memorial donations to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada.
