We Remember
BOYDEN, Helen
—
With thankfulness for life’s rich blessing and with a quiet, strong faith in God, Lieut. Colonel Helen Boyden of the Salvation Army, age 98 years, moved from this life into God’s tomorrow on January 14, 2024, to join her darling husband Cyril. They both live on in the hearts of their beloved daughter and son-in-law, Helen & Grant, who cherish every precious memory of the lives, love, and influence of both Helen and Cyril.
Helen was born in Cullen, Scotland. She and Cyril were ordained as Salvation Army officers in 1947. They served together in Britain and Canada and at the Army’s International Headquarters.
Helen and Cyril will be warmly remembered by family members and many other friends (in Canada and Britain), whose lives they touched with warmth, grace, and wisdom.
Instead of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to The Salvation Army (Downtown Outreach Ministry) or the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation fund.
