We Remember

BOYSEN, Tanya

October 1, 1974 — July 8, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the very sudden passing of our beloved daughter, sister, wife and Auntie – Tanya Boysen. Tanya passed on July 8, 2021, at the Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) after 3 short days, from an undiagnosed brain tumor.

Tanya was born October 1, 1974 on a beautiful sunny day at KGH. She was raised and lived in Kelowna, attended Glenmore Elementary, and Graduated from KSS in 1992.

Tanya loved being outdoors and on the water. She loved puttering in the garden, a good hockey game and spending time with her beloved bulldogs Lola and Ruckus. She was a very loyal friend and fiercely protective of her loved ones. Her quick wit, sense of humor will always be remembered.

Over the past year, Tanya decided to re-educate herself and had returned to school to become a Medical Office Assistant. She found her passion in medical aesthetics and had recently started working at Dermapure.

Tanya will be greatly missed by her parents Richard and Ann Boysen; her husband Ryan Denslow; and her sisters Linda (Stephen) and Susan (Russ). She was beloved “Auntie T” to Alexandra, Samantha, Hannah, Charlie and Maegan. And, many more extended family members and friends will remember her always.

Tanyas wishes were to donate her organs and with this gift she was able to give five individuals a new lease on life. The family would like to thank the critical care unit at KGH for their kind and caring attention to Tanya while she was in their care.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to one of Tanya’s favorite charities: Paws it Forward Animal Rescue in Kelowna and Raptor Rehabilitation Center.

I’m so saddened to hear about Tanya. I went to school with her, Glenmore and KSS, we shared many of the same friends and still do. I have many memories of her growing up. I still remember in about grade seven her towering over me proving how tall she was. I wasn’t all that tall just yet and she thought it was great to be taller than most of the boys. She was so so beautiful, my heart hurts for her family right now. I will pray for you. God bless you.

Tanya was a classmate of mine from the MOA program. She was always outgoing and a friendly member of the classroom. Although all of our education was completed remotely I always felt as though she was someone I’d really enjoy spending time with. My deepest condolences to this unexpected tragedy.

How incredibly heart breaking to hear this sudden news. My daughter worked with Tanya at Zara Salon and I had many occasions to interact with her. She was a beautiful lady. Her grace lives on as she thought of others in donating her organs. May you all find peace in your love. Take good care. Chriss
