We Remember
BROWN, Kelvin
May 24, 1956 — July 17, 2022
Kelvin Brown passed away unexpectedly at the age of 66 in Kelowna, BC, on July 17, 2022. He is survived by his partner Annette Bertasson Laurienzo. He was predeceased by his father Robert, mother Catherine, and brother Robert George. His Avalon lay in the little wonders of moments shared with family and friends. A gentle soul, full of love and support whenever needed. His love of soccer forged friendships that grew into family that gave him a place to call home. Kelvin was a humble, quiet, and unassuming person with a comforting word or hug. The outdoors was his solitude and he enjoyed working, camping, walking his dog(s), campfires, and lakes/creeks. Truly a special man that will be missed by all, he leaves one playing field for another to join those before him.
As per his request there will be no service, but there will be some planned events in the future.

Kelvin was a great guy.. We were customers of Edge to Edge and not only did Kelvin and Annie do an amazing job but what I looked forward to most was our talks every week. He knew so much about Kelowna and gave us great tips on so many things. His sense of humor was the best. I’ll never forget when my Toronto Maple Leafs lost in the playoffs to Montreal and Kel and Annie showed up with Montreal themed logo’s on face mask’s. I laughed for days and will always think of him for that sense of humor. So easy to talk and he had knowledge on so many things. My deepest condolences to Annie and all that knew him. Our lives are richer for it. May he rest in peace.
Annie, I am so sorry to hear about Kelvin’s sudden passing. He was a lovely man and will be missed immensely. May your precious memories comfort you. Please take good care. Marnie Verge

Annie; Sorry for your loss. I remember him from our landscape days and our torrid squash games…he was a tough competitor, full of heart. Regards Paul (Kiwi)
Annie; Sorry for your loss, I had a lot of respect for Kelvin and considered him a friend. He was a man of integrity and a fierce competitor on the squash court / sports field. Hope all is well with you, Regards Paul (Kiwi)
Dear Annie, I am so sorry for the news of Kelvin’s sudden passing. May your joyous and wonderful memories of times you spent camping, walking the dogs or go going to soccer games help you through these times. I will miss our banter and the laughs we shared.
Shocked and saddened to hear of Kelvin passing. Kelvin and Annie both made us feel very welcome and at home when we first moved to Canada from Scotland. It was a privilege to play soccer with Kelvin over the years for Brandts Creek. He will be truly missed by so many. RIP Kelvin.

Annie, I truly appreciated the condolence you left for me and my family regarding the passing of Ard. We too considered you and Kelvin more than simply those who cared for our yard,, but rather friends. We enjoyed our conversations with the two of you. Kelvin was a thoughtful man, one who always had kind words for us. We will miss seeing him.. How sad that we have both lost our loved ones.
