We Remember
BROWN, Michael “Mick” Peter
January 1, 1970 — January 1, 1970
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Michael (Mick) Peter Brown, a wonderful husband, father and friend. On October 5th, 2012, Mick passed away peacefully with his wife at his side.
Mick was born on May 2nd, 1957 in Croydon, England. At the age of 9, he moved with his family from South Hampton, UK, to Queensland, Australia aboard the ship, Achille Lauro. Mick called Brisbane home for the next 30 plus years. Here is where he built a successful painting career and loved raising his two beautiful children, Katie and Adam. In 2002, Mick moved to Canada, where he married his wife, Trish and settled down with their son, Rowan, in Peachland, B.C.
Mick had a love for the ocean, fishing and for playing golf. When he came to Canada, Mick found a new passion and would spend many hours building and caring for his aquariums and his many fish and fresh water plants.
Those who knew Mick will never forget his quick wit and amazing sense of humor. We will dearly miss his laughter, his smile and his warm and caring heart.
Mick is survived by his wife, Trish Brown and son, Rowan Brown of Peachland, B.C., his daughter Katie Brown (Ryan) of Perth, Australia, son Adam Brown of Brisbane, Australia, his parents, Joan and Peter Brown of Harvey Bay, Australia, sister Anita Landman (Gary) of Gumdale, Australia, and brother Paul Brown (Kaye) of Melbourne, Australia and many other family and friends.
A Celebration of Mick’s life will be held on October 21st, 2012 from 1-4 pm at 2208 Shannon Ridge Drive, West Kelowna, B.C.
