BRUSCHINSKY, Dorothy (Anna)

Passed away April 1, 2012 at the age of 76.  Survived by her loving husband Albert of 50 years, children Rick (Tara) Bruschinsky, Doris (John) Del Medico, grandchildren Talia, Bryden, Riley, Kiana and Lexy.  Sadly predeceased by her parents Paul and Monika Menges, and brother Willy.  Dorothy was born in Ferdinand, Romania and came to Canada in 1962.  First residing in Richmond with Albert.  Dorothy was an active member of the Austrian Club.  For the past twelve years they have lived in Kelowna where Dorothy continued her social activities with the German Club. Dorothy had a zest for life and always had a positive outlook.  Her spirit shone bright, her energy was contagious and her humor infectious.  She lived life for her family and adored her grandchildren.  Rather than focusing on her illness, she focused on living life to the fullest.  The family would like to thank the following doctors for their outstanding care: Dr. Paterson, Dr. Scudamore (of Vancouver), Dr. Finch, Dr. Halperin, Dr. Welsh, and Dr. Greeff (of Kelowna) and the staff and volunteers at Kelowna Hospice House.  A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Immaculate Conception Church, 839 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna, BC.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Okanagan Hospice Association, 104-1456 St. Paul Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2E6.  Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com, 250-860-7077.
